This is a thread created by @RatofDoom2 in the Survival Games: Classic sub-forum; any feedback can be given there. I am only recreating it here to make it easier for people to see when applying for a Survival Games 2.0 clan.

Hello! This is RatofDoom from the Hive community and today I want to talk about GOOD clan applications. Recently, I've seen some not very detailed applications for some good clans. By not very detailed, I mean things like this:

    or

What I mean by writing a detailed application is this:

I believe writing a detailed application helps you get into clans easier and I'm going to give a short guide here on how to do it well.

For this, I will be writing a pretend application for Despize 2.0.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To start off with, I like to open a Microsoft Word document and copy and paste in the template so it's easy to edit. This helps considerably with doing it.

If you have any previous applications, open them up so you can copy and paste little bits to save yourself from writing really long bits.

So, in most templates, the easy things come first.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IGN: This should be a vaguely basic part of the application. Here, just put your main account and then I find it helpful to put alts as well. This proves that if you have bad stats on one of your accounts that the others have good stats to back it up.

    http://gyazo.com/9f1985dbe12a80748dfccb1b30fdb4e2

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nickname (or What Should we call you): Again, pretty easy. Here just put a sensible thing you want them to call you during your time in the clan. It's better if you put something mature or sensible.

    http://gyazo.com/7598a0a3c56b0e6947f5eb24bfd3f3e2

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Age: This is a pretty easy one but you can mess up your application if you lie here. Chances are if you lie about your age in the application then people find out you are a different age later on, you may get kicked from the clan. Just write your true age and if your overall application is mature enough, you'll get in.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Skype: Here you need to post your Skype. If you don't have Skype, you'll need to go download it. Put your correct skype name and not some fake one to make your chances of getting in easier. It also helps if you don't have an obscure Skype name as then clan leaders have a harder job of finding your Skype.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Country: Again, should be relatively easy. This isn't the country you are from, this is the country you currently live in. This can be to do with ping but could also be to do with how fluently you will be able to speak English.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Premium: Premium can be a big influence of whether you get into the clan or not. Having Diamond or Emerald is an even bigger plus. I, personally, list all accounts that have premium and the accounts that do not.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How long have you been playing on Hive?: Again, a relatively easy question. It doesn't have to be an exact amount of days but give a brief description of when you started playing. If you have played more on other servers, it may help to include that server in your application.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How often do you play: This one may require a longer answer. I tend to give specific saying that I'm not on as much during weekdays but I'm on a lot during weekends. If there is a reason that you might not be active as soon as you join, this will be the place to put it.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have you been banned before?: Simple question. If you have been banned unjustfully, mention that. Don't lie about not having any bans. This may result in your application being declined if the leaders find out differently.

    http://gyazo.com/25f5e8892d0f16066f7b7051dc799b3c

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Link to your Stats: This is the hard part for some people and I fail to see how. To do it, all you do is a link like this: http://www.hivemc.com/player/usernamegoeshere. Of course you input your username where usernamegoesehere is. An example of this can be found in my application.

    http://gyazo.com/fc542472d06b82734a65cd20c267c081

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PvP Strengths: This should be the most detailed part in the application. Here, give a name of one of your strengths and then go into a longer detailed paragraph about it. I recommend giving at least four strengths in the application, as this will give the leaders a detailed insight on to what you are good at.

    http://gyazo.com/da148ee30144dfebd3b4368c345eb48c

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PvP Weaknesses: This should be around the same length of the PvP strengths. Again, give a name of one of the weaknesses, then go into a detailed paragraph about it. This time, I recommend giving at least three weaknesses with detailed paragraphs to go with it.

    http://gyazo.com/71ecfbc5e90097f354763f1f70066a81

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Previous Clan Experiences?:This is the spot where you put other clans if you have been a part of. There is no need to put all your clans if you have been in lots - just put a few of them. Equally, if you haven't been in a clan before, just note something like 'I have never been in any previous clans'.

    http://gyazo.com/c565fcbe46f599159705b2063245dc83

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why would you like to join this clan?: Again, this should be a short paragraph about why you want to join the clan. Include things about wanting to meet new people in the community and increasing your PvP skills.

    http://gyazo.com/8bde024ae59ccbf41c62b618ae9ed2e8

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why should we accept you?: Here, do another short paragraph about what skills you have. Include things about maturity levels, communication skills and general elite PvPer. Try not to be overly cocky.

    http://gyazo.com/4e5d9c70e1cb77d22901c784859e0a15

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anything else?: Here you can just note anything else that you want the clan to know. Personally, in my applications, I just say something along the lines of 'Thanks for reading my application and considering it'.

    Other Good Tips

    • Having good grammar in your writing during your application can be a great boost of your chance of getting in. Of course, no one is going to blame you if English is not your first language but it can help to have good grammar.
    • As mentioned before, don't be cocky. If you are cocky, saying that you are better than everyone, then the leaders might not want you in.
    • Finally, this application is a good idea. Most clans have a extra boost of a chance of you getting in if you write a detailed application. This application layout has helped me get in clans such as Critical and Annihilation and I hope you will use it too.
If you have any more tips for me to put on, PM me or tell me below.
    Thanks,
    Rat
